Open Baffle for EMS field coil fullrange (part 2)

  1. Hi. Those open baffle speakers looks great! I'm curious regarding the 12" EMS field coil full range driver, and have considered them. I have had Altec 605B 15" Duplex drivers in an open baffle of app. similar dimensions, but they lacked low output. Are you experiencing sufficient bass output in your set-up? Thanks for sharing the photos. Thomas

  2. Hallo Thomas, this open baffle(from Stereo Sound, originally designed for old Altec fullrange)is a great little project.Low output is relatively good.If you want a lot of energy in the low range(30-60Hz)you should a good subwoofer(open baffle, maybe one 18" fertin...).
    Sorry for my bad english.
